COMPIN Front Ends is, within the Compin Group, the specialist in cabs and front-ends for trains, as much for the interior fittings as the exterior.

The Front Ends division is empowered with three strong industrial units:

  • Aytré based near La Rochelle (17).
  • Mauves sur Huisnes (Normandy) dedicated to Railway applications
  • Qingdao in China with its Joint venture “Qingdao Compin Railway GRP”

This specialisation in the front of trains combines an expertise of composite materials with the ability to design, manufacture, and assemble functional modules to offer railway constructors a complete driving cab.

Core business function:

COMPIN Front Ends is a railway equipment supplier, designer and manufacturer of solutions integrating the technology of polyester resin and fibreglass base composites.

The Solutions proposed span from the spare part through to the highest level of integration.
Expertise in project management, sourcing, logistics, and technology transfer techniques notably offer opportunities for overcoming international challenges such as the renowned example of EMU 250.

For renovation, COMPIN Front Ends guarantees technical expertise, repair of composite parts, supply of spare parts as well as fitting-out directly carried out in our clients’ workshops.

Experts in composite materials, tailor-made projects , manufacture or pre-manufacture, both in France and abroad, and front-end operation in all types of rail equipment.
Furthermore, COMPIN Front Ends is a leader in the modular design of fully integrated front ends called “plug and play”. Performance in this field is exemplary with 1 module delivered every day.

Logistics:

COMPIN Front Ends has developed the ability to deliver complete front ends in separate parts as far as China, and to supply “Worldwide” parts to local contracts.

As a specialist in composite materials, COMPIN Front Ends is an expert in the following manufacturing processes:

COMPIN Front Ends has painting cabins allowing parts to be treated from all angles

As an integrator, as well as assembling the components, COMPIN Front Ends gathers together all necessary equipment for the construction of a complete module. The “processes” of assembling the windscreen, cabling, and completed module testing also form an integral part of the operation. In the same way, final assembly can be partially carried out along with the guidance of the end client.
